MakerHQ launched in August 2026. It is the closest thing to a direct fulflo competitor that exists: same customer, same promise, nearly the same sentence on the homepage. If you are choosing between them, the differences that matter are pricing structure, who your customers are, and who owns the company.
Who builds it
MakerHQ is a MakerFlo product — the wholesale blanks supplier that sells tumblers, laser blanks and sublimation stock to makers. Its iOS app lists MOPEN LLC as the developer, the same publisher as the MakerFlo shopping app.
That is worth knowing rather than worrying about. It gives them a real advantage: they already have relationships with thousands of shops, and product knowledge that runs deep in the tumbler, laser and sublimation space. It also means your supplier operates the system holding your customer list, your margins and your sourcing. Most shops will shrug at that. Some will not. It is your call, not ours.

The per-user maths
MakerHQ prices every tier per user per month, with 20% off for annual billing. That is fine for a solo maker and gets expensive quickly with a team.
The tier that matters is Pro, because Shopify, QuickBooks, ShipStation, Etsy, Amazon and Squarespace integrations are all gated to it. Starter is a manual workspace with no sync at all. So the realistic cost for a shop that sells online is $29.95 per person:
| Team size | MakerHQ Pro | fulflo |
|---|---|---|
| 1 person | $29.95/mo | $79/mo |
| 3 people | $89.85/mo | $79/mo |
| 5 people | $149.75/mo | $79/mo |
| 8 people | $239.60/mo | $79/mo |
fulflo’s Pro tier is $79 a month flat, so it is cheaper than MakerHQ from three people upward and roughly a third of the price at eight. Customer portal users are free as well, so hiring a production lead or bringing on a part-time bookkeeper does not change your bill.
The one thing fulflo charges that MakerHQ does not publish is a platform fee on card sales: 1% on Starter, 0.4% on Pro and 0% on Studio, with no fee on invoices paid by ACH or check. Worth weighing if most of your revenue arrives by card at the entry tier.
Where MakerHQ is genuinely stronger
- Design Studio. Colour art, SVG tracing, cutouts and product mockups from one canvas. fulflo has no design tooling at all. If preparing artwork is your bottleneck, that is a real reason to pick them.
- Laser settings library. Power, speed, LPC and passes by machine and material, saved once they work. Genuinely useful, and exactly the kind of thing a blanks supplier is well placed to build.
- Breadth of integrations. Shopify, QuickBooks, ShipStation, ShipHero, Etsy, Amazon, Squarespace, Slack, Asana, Notion and Google Workspace, all on Pro.
- A shipped iOS app. Live on the App Store since August 2026. fulflo's is still in development. Note that theirs requires iOS 26 or later, which rules out a lot of devices.
- Supplier depth. MakerFlo knows tumblers, blanks and laser work extremely well, and that shows in the product.
Where fulflo is different
Your customers get a portal, and it costs nothing
Each of your customers gets a branded portal with their quotes, jobs, proofs, invoices and message history, carrying your business name and logo — including on outbound email, which sends from your name with your reply-to address. Users are unlimited and free. MakerHQ's published features describe an internal workspace; there is no client-facing portal listed.
Purchase orders arrive as jobs
Forward a distributor PO to your fulflo inbound address and it is parsed into a job with line items, quantities, ship date and customer already filled in. It handles PDF purchase orders and image-only scans. Nothing else in this category does it — not MakerHQ, not Print Laser Pro, not Printavo.
A storefront you own, not one you rent
fulflo includes an online storefront. MakerHQ connects to Shopify, Etsy, Amazon or Squarespace, which is useful if you already have one and gives you nothing if you do not — and those connections need the Pro tier.
Built for B2B, not just marketplace selling
This is the real dividing line. MakerHQ's integration list — Etsy, Amazon, Shopify, Squarespace — describes a business selling to consumers online. fulflo is built for the shop invoicing a reseller on net terms, quoting a school district, and taking purchase orders from distributors. If most of your revenue arrives as a PO rather than a web order, the two products are aimed at different halves of the market.
Payments land in your own Stripe account
fulflo uses Stripe Connect, so money moves from your customer into your own connected Stripe account and you keep your own processing relationship.
Both products are new
MakerHQ's iOS app shipped version 1.0.0 on 25 August 2026 and had not yet accumulated enough App Store ratings to display a score at the time of writing. fulflo is in beta. Neither of us has a long track record, and if a decade of proven stability is what you need, Printavo is the honest answer for a screen print shop. We would rather say that than pretend otherwise.
Which one should you pick?
Choose MakerHQ if you sell mostly to consumers through Etsy, Amazon or Shopify, artwork preparation is your bottleneck, you want a laser settings library, and you are solo or two people so per-user pricing stays cheap.
Choose fulflo if your work arrives as quotes and purchase orders from businesses, you want your customers in a branded portal, you need a storefront rather than a connection to someone else's, and you have — or plan to have — a team you would rather not pay per head for.
Common questions
How much does MakerHQ cost?
Starter is $9.95 per user per month, Pro is $29.95 and Business is $54.95, with 20% off annual billing and a seven-day free trial. Integrations require Pro or above, so most shops selling online land at $29.95 per person.
Who owns MakerHQ?
It is a MakerFlo product. MakerFlo is a wholesale supplier of tumblers, laser blanks and sublimation stock. The iOS app lists MOPEN LLC as the developer, the same publisher as the MakerFlo shopping app.
Does MakerHQ have a customer portal?
Not in their published feature list. It is described as a connected internal workspace for your team, covering customers, orders, pricing, artwork and production. fulflo includes a branded client-facing portal with unlimited free users.
Does MakerHQ import purchase orders from email?
Not in their published feature list. fulflo parses forwarded PDF and scanned purchase orders into jobs automatically.
Does fulflo have design tools or a laser settings library?
No to both. MakerHQ's Design Studio and laser settings library have no equivalent in fulflo, and if those are what you need, MakerHQ is the better tool for that job.
